Dallas Wedding Photographer: Brad & Amy Wedding at Westin Park Central Hotel

The wedding of Brad and Amy couldn’t be any better than awesome! The two cutie love birds got married at the beautiful Water’s Edge Church in Frisco. The minute I walked in the church all the glass windows and doors were covered with dark brown papers. Amy and Brad did not want to risk accidently seeing each other. I knew that instance that their love for one another is very strong. Afterwards, we head out to the reception at the gorgeous Westin Park Central hotel in Dallas. The wedding was so much fun that I actually did an internal dance moves while shooting. Thank you Brad and Amy for having me be part of your special day. You both are so gorgeous and may you have wonderful life together.

Ringing in the New Year

Beautiful Christmas Light Pictures | Holiday Bokeh

Thought I enter this post for I Heart Faces Holiday Bokeh and also as a tutorial. To get an amazing Christmas light photo first you need to increase your ISO. I know many people said wouldn’t your picture turn out really grainy? The answer is yes, but if you have a software like Lightroom or Photoshop you can remove the graininess.

The picture below was shot handheld at ISO 2500, 1/160 sec F1.4. All the lights were off since I wanted the Christmas tree lights to stand out a little bit. If you shoot at 1/150 or above most likely your picture will turn out sharp. However, I did open the aperture really wide intentionally at F1.4 to achieve the blurry effect and of course bringing in more light.

ISO 800, 1/15 sec F1.8. Personally, the outcome of the picture tends to be blurry if you shoot at 1/60 or lower. Always try to keep your camera as steady as possible. This photo was shot handheld.

ISO 1250, 1/15 sec F4.5. My first plan was to shoot the beautiful and colorful fall leaves outside the house. Unfortunately it was too cold so I decided to break off a couple branches and put it in a flower vase. As you can tell there was a lot of ambient light indoor. I set the shutter speed at 1/15 so the Christmas tree lights sparkle really big and beautiful in the background. Again, make sure your camera is as steady as possible to achieve this effect. You can use a tripod or anything to steady your camera. This picture was also shot handheld. I had to shoot this angle multiple times to get the leaves in focus.

Thought I show you a picture of my little cutie pie nephew in black and white. I converted to black and white because he had yellow Cheetos chips stain all over his mouth. A lot easier than trying to photoshop it out. I wasn’t sure what he was doing at the time. Either he was modeling or just making funny faces. Just too adorable not to share!

So normally a sneak peek consist of only one photo but I just can’t help myself. Here are two pictures for you to enjoy taken at the beautiful Water’s Edge Church in Frisco Texas. Since they decided not to do the first look I get to photograph them taking a peek at each other only by touch and sound! They said the cutest and lovable things to each other between the door. How adorable is that! We hope you enjoy the preview of Brad + Amy Wedding. Congratulations to the happy newlyweds!

I love this ring shot! In case you’re wondering how I obtain this lighting. The reception was very dark so I use MicroPro Led Panel light which was to the right of the ring. As you notice I love how it cast a lovely shadow and fits perfectly with the black background.

Happy Thanksgiving And The Best Turkey Ever

Happy Thanksgiving to my family, friends and of course my fabulous clients this year. I am very fortunate to have each one of you in my life.

Just wanted to share some pictures of our Thanksgiving dinner and of course check out how we mashed potatoes using a mortar and pestle. It turns out this is the quickest way to mash a potato. Smart idea from my cool brother-in-law.

Seriously, my hubby makes the BEST and I do mean the BEST turkey ever! The meat was so tender you do not need a knife to cut it. Can’t wait to have left over for lunch tomorrow.

Love my hubby pasta salad. Can’t have Thanksgiving dinner without that.

Amy’s Bridal Portrait at SMU Campus: Dallas Wedding Photographer

So happy I finally get to post Amy’s bridal portrait session which was captured at the beautiful SMU (Southern Methodist University) in Dallas. I photographed Amy by Perkins Chapel, Dallas Hall as well as the surrounding area with pretty aligned trees. Amy loves trees so SMU turned out to be the perfect place! Amy is such gorgeous woman and now a beautiful wife to Brad! Congratulations Amy and Brad on your marriage. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to capture your special day.

Lawrence + Kenzie: Mount Scott and Medicine Park Lawton OK Engagement

I’m finally so excited to brag, I mean show you the newly engaged couple Lawrence and Kenzie pictures. We decided to meet up at the beautiful Mount Scott mountain in Lawton Oklahoma. Well, let’s just say we almost didn’t have a photo shoot on top of the mountain. The gate was closed and luckily we turned back on time to see a man opening the gate. Afterwards, we decided to head down the most gorgeous golden field just below Mount Scott. We saw some wild buffalos roaming the field and thought would it be nice to do a photo shoot around them? Fortunately I wasn’t brave enough to risk my life. Finally, Medicine Park was the last stop. Both Lawrence and Kenzie did such amazing job posing in front of the camera. I seriously can’t stop staring at their lovely pictures, they are just too gorgeous! The day didn’t end there, we had a lovely lunch at the Old Plantation restaurant in Medicine Park. From the bottom of my heart thank you for the awesome lunch!
